Room shoes

This is the room shoes I made out of one of the patch works.
This type of room shoes is called "Babouche" and is know as a room shoes made in Morocco.

I have used the pig leather for the sole.

I've decided to hand make my room shoes because the room shoes I always buy at a cheap shoe shop in Perth, have a very fragile sole.
As you wear it long, it starts to bread like this.

I have been replacing it almost every year, and is not very economical and is absolutely not eco-friendly.

The shoes I made are from the above book.
It's Lady's L size, pattern 17 & 18.

I'll give you a hint...

Now, what do you think I'm going to make?

Well, I'll show you in the next blog!

Smaller size purse bag

This is the smaller version of Nalin purse bag.
It's actually the original type.
I made it so it can be used as a purse as well as a bag.

I have used this beautiful Liberty print, and appliqued the red linen.

This is the back zipper pocket.  I made it wider to 20cm.

Two front pockets to fit your keys, hanky, mobile, etc.

Since it's a small version, there are only 16 card pockets.

I've compared it's size with the L size one.

It's only 2,3cm smaller, but it makes a big difference!

I'm keeping this black one for the Ulala event.

2 handy shoulder bags

Gee, it's been a long time since I last updated this blog.
I try to update it when I update my Japanese blog, but I had been too lazy.
I will try to update this blog as frequently as possible from now on!

Now, here are my new bags I finished making today.
I named this type as Nalin L size. (No reason behind this name)
I have patchworked these lovely Liberty fabrics at the centre.
The base fabric is the twill linen in Navy blue colour.

There is a zipper pocket at the back.

You can adjust the length of the strap to make it short if you like.

There are total of 24 card pockets, and 2 compartments are divided by this centre zipper pouch.

These two front pockets are quite roomy, and very useful!

This is the second one with a different colour.
The base fabric is the beige linen cotton fabric, and I have combined the Liberty and linens with a hand stitch sashiko.

These two are on auction Japan from today.

My new Granny boston bag

Just finished this Retro style Granny boston bag - new version.
I've hand stitched this little batterfly.

I've used this retro pop pattern fabric and matched it with this nice brown
linen cotton fabric.

This is the back side.  It has a red batterfly pocket.

I've hand stitched this as well.  It's suppose to be a horse, not a dog.

Close up on the batterfly pocket.

It has a deep wide side pockets for your water bottle.

The centre is a boston type and has whole size pockets on each side.

Whole size pockets can be closed by the magnet hock.

The centre boston part has 4 gathered pockets.
